Over 99% of Interval House staff are
multilingual, ethnically diverse,
and former victims of domestic
violence.

The mission of Interval House is to provide crisis intervention and assistance to victims of domestic violence and individuals at risk for abuse from ethnically diverse and underserved communities. We also strive to eliminate violence and its resultant homelessness within our targeted underserved populations by raising community awareness of the cultural dynamics of violence, promoting education about violence prevention, and mobilizing communities to end violence.

Interval House was founded in 1979 as a lifeline to victims who were forced into isolation by cultural and linguistic barriers. Today, Interval House has strengthened its mission and purpose by offering programs and services in over 60 different languages.
